I thought it did not work because I had not read that there was no battery! But after putting it immediately worked. I do not find it too noisy as I read in a comment. The only downside I would say is that it is not very bright in daylight.

The only thing that we did not like was while playing with it outside of the bathtub the music it plays is SUPER loud! we had to put tape on top of the speaker. In the tub its amazingly good!
